I love this. When you say a 'ski season' were you working there, or just skiing every day? I have never skied (yes, I had to look up the past tense of 'ski'), and the whole idea intimidates me - I like the idea of hot chocolate in a ski lodge, though!

I agree wholeheartedly about being on your own timeline. I finally received a bachelors in my late 30s, and now a masters in my early 40s - I feel very 'behind', almost apologetically so, yet who am I measuring myself against? To continually measure yourself against others (something I am guilty of myself) means to live in regret.

I was working the season but for many of us that did mean skiing daily! I was just too much of a fair weather skier to do so 😌

And I’m allergic to chocolate but it’s allll about the apres ski so vin chaud was favourite!

Your educationally achievements sound incredible! Much congratulations to you! I do like the idea of going “back” to study although not sure what I would do. Just want to keep the brain healthy and learning. Google is trying to make me dumb 😬

Allergic to chocolate! Wow. I've never met someone who is allergic before - I'm sure you have many other yummy treats to indulge in, though.... I hope so! It's funny - I certainly didn't appreciate education when I was a teen, but the idea of sitting in a classroom and debating contentious topics with classmates sounds like heaven. I hope you find the opportunity to return to study if you find what you would enjoy - there are so many options out there! Obviously, you're a talented writer, so I'm sure there would be many ways to tap into that.
