‘Hey, how was your week?’

My life is nothing special, but life is in the ordinary

Last Monday I interviewed the most beautiful woman I have ever seen about the danger of s_xual soul ties. On Tuesday I took three soft bras, a nightdress and some shorts to my tailor and two coats to the dry cleaners. On Wednesday I had an all-staff meeting on Zoom and after two years of remote working, finally saw what most of my colleagues look like. On Thursday, one of my friends messaged to say she gave birth the night before, and another friend who is pregnant with twins messaged to say how heavy she’s feeling with less than three weeks to go. On Friday I went to the first press morning I have been to in ages, couldn’t eat anything because of my strict-ish diet and then got tipsy on champagne. On Saturday I watched about three episodes of the Netflix version of Dynasty and then went to hear Edward Enninful talk about his life in the fashion industry and role at Vogue. On Sunday we did our weekly hike (inadvisably followed by coffee) then the boy cooked us an incredible lunch after which I curled up and had a 3pm nap like a cossetted child from a Victorian novel.
