Regret is not a wasted emotion, however, it does need some reimagining

One of my exes had a real thing about not having any regrets. He was determined not to do anything that would cause him to feel this way about something he had done – or not done. I’m not sure if he succeeded although I would suggest breaking up with me requires at least a smidgen of regretful energy because I am, after all, amazing.
